Chipotle, I’m confused

Well, that was a semi false positive last November. Now I’m just confused.

Before I get into it, I do want to give kudos to Chipotle for at least having the decency of telling us if there’s soybean oil in their food. As you can see on the chart, they at least mark in a different color items that “merely” contain soybean oil. (If you’ve read this blog for more than 2 minutes, you’ve probably already seen my rant about “Just tell me if there’s soy in it“). So thank you Chipotle.

Now here’s where it gets confusing. I finally had an opportunity to take my kids to Chipotle as at least the Carnitas were supposed to be OK according to their ingredient listings,

but then, here’s where it gets weird: Their allergen chart, shows that “all meats” contain soybean oil:

So now I’m baffled. Unfortunately I’m usually only at a Chipotle at lunchtime, so there is roughly 734 people in line behind me, so I’m not going to risk the wrath of other Chipotle-philes to ask this question. If anybody reading this can find out the answer before me, please, please let me know.
