Unfortunately since they started using soy lecithin instead of palm oil as the emulsifier in all formed chocolate and chocolate chips are pretty much not accessible to our kids. It’s amazing, even the expensive, high end chocolate uses soy lecithin. Sometimes they’ll still have palm oil (I assume for taste) but they’ll still contain soy lecithin these days. Fortunately, Enjoy Life as come to our rescue and has allergen-free chocolate chips:
