I just found out some wonderful news from our local Donatos. Starting next week, Donatos will be offering a gluten free crust. The good news is that the crust is made by Udi’s, so as an added benefit, it has no soybean oil in it.
You can order them in the restaurant and there’s a frozen to-go version also. I’ve checked the ingredients in the frozen version and they use canola oil instead of soybean oil. The crust that they use in the store is the exact same crust as the frozen version.
Their regular crusts contain soybean oil, and unfortunately they use the tactic of claiming that there is no soy in their regular crust because it only contains soybean oil.
I’m so happy that there’s finally a national pizza chain that our kids will be able to eat at. Our hearts will always go to Bob’s Pizza, but at least there are options now when we’re out and about.
Here’s information I found on Donatos website about this: https://www.donatos.com/phoenix-web/glutenfree.htm
